Anxiety is recognised as strong feelings of nervousness, tension and uneasiness usually connected with emotions such as worry or fear.
It is an unpleasant, yet completely normal, human reaction that most of us regularly experience. The feelings associated with anxiety can range from mildly unpleasant to severely overwhelming. How we react to and cope with them is as individual as we are.
While anxiety and stress are linked, the difference with stress is that it usually comes and goes along with a specific issue. Anxiety can sometimes be more of a persistent issue with hard to identify causes.
