Who I Am
Hi, I'm Tricia. I'm an experienced integrative counsellor, psychotherapist, CBT and EFT therapist also experienced in family support work. I hold accreditation with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). This assures you my practice has been independently assessed as being of a high standard. I have strong skills working with: anxiety, depression, addiction, abuse, post-natal depression, birth trauma, miscarriage, infant loss, infertility, PTSD, OCD, chronic ill health, bereavement, grief, suicide, identity, anger, relationships, parenting, loneliness, and much more.
I gained my experience across a variety of settings. During training, I worked for Lifeline and in a large GP group practice where I continued after qualifying. Early 2016 I joined Angel Eyes NI as their Parent Support Officer. This amazing and hard-working charity supports families with blind and partially sighted children. This was an enormously rewarding and diverse role where I supported both parents and children. Late 2017 I joined Action Cancer's team of counsellors where I continue to work part-time today. This is a specialised area of counselling and I'm proud to work for this outstanding charity. Today my counselling work is dedicated to Clear Counselling and Action Cancer.
Prior to counselling, my background was in people management in a number of large organisations. My success in these roles set a great foundation for my career move into counselling.
